Promoting Your Blog

Google's advice on how to promote your blog on search engines may be highly effective for those looking to gain a wider audience. We have discussed and implemented some suggestions on how to promote your blog already such as:
  • thinking about audience
  • writing quality content
  • writing short posts and paragraphs
  • incorporating lists
  • archiving and using labels
  • using SEO keywords
  • linking to other blogs
  • creating a blogroll
  • enabling following on your blog
  • publishing regularly
  • being an active commentator, and more.
However, Google's "article" adds some more helpful technical suggestions, some of which are specific to Google and Blogger to help with your search engine optimization. Any advice not covered here you'd like to share?

Why does this make a strong option for an abstract picture?

*After thinking about it, see some possible answers in the comments, or comment yourself.

This blog will be for students in Writing for the Web to have a community and is designed to facilitate conversation, disseminate information, and assignments.

First topic: I always say there's never enough time travelling English professors on TV. Who's with me? Any other TV show ideas (preferably English grammar based)? Discuss.
